Get found on Google (SEO)

Settings → Search & discovery controls how your site shows up when people look for you — in Google, when your link is shared on social, and to the AI assistants people increasingly ask for recommendations. Good defaults are set for you; this page explains what each control does so you can polish them.

Business type

Tell us what kind of business you are (salon, studio, clinic, and so on). This adds structured data to your site that helps search engines understand you're a local business that takes bookings, which can earn richer search results.

Titles and descriptions

  • Default title template — the wording that appears as the clickable headline in search results and browser tabs.
  • Default description — the short summary shown under the title in search results. Write it for a person deciding whether to click: what you do, where, and why book you.

These are your site-wide defaults; individual pages can carry their own.

Share image

The default Open Graph image is the picture that shows when your site is shared on social media or in a message. A strong, on-brand image makes shared links look professional and get more clicks.

Price range

Set an indicative price range (from budget to premium). It appears in your structured data and helps set expectations before someone even clicks.

Indexing

The indexing toggle controls whether search engines are allowed to list your site. Leave it on once you're live so you can be found. You might turn it off while you're still setting up, so a half-finished site doesn't get indexed. Turn it back on when you launch.

llms.txt

Enabling /llms.txt publishes a clean, plain-text summary of your business and services at a standard location that AI assistants can read. It's an easy way to make sure the tools people use to find services can describe yours accurately.

Being found on your own domain

Search engines prefer one canonical address. If you've added a custom domain, set it as your primary so your search presence builds on your own brand rather than the default address.
